On April 28,2022 the city of Oakley entered in to a cooperative agreement with Contra Costa County. This agreement will entail that the old sheriffs station will be demolished to make way for a stand alone library and community center. The terms of the agreement are as follows, the city and county will share the demolition costs and the Oakley community has 36 months to come up with funding for the project.
We are asking members of the community who are interested in seeing this project to fruition to volunteer to become grant writers and fundraiser volunteers for the Oakley Community Library Project. If you are interested in volunteering please contact our organization via e-mail([email protected]) with the subject line, I am Interested!
